Donna Kelce had an 'awesome' time making Hallmark movies
Donna Kelce had an "awesome" time making her movie debut.
The 72-year-old matriarch - whose sons are Travis and Jason Kelce - appears in the Hallmark Channel's festive movies 'Christmas on Call' and 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story' and she has "had a blast" working on the projects.
She told People magazine about her "awesome" experience: "There was so many fantastic veterans of Hallmark movies and I just had a blast learning from all of them.
"It's so much fun for them to be doing the movie in Kansas City for the first time and being in the stadium that I've been here for the past 11 years. So it was just really fun."
And Donna has already won some fans in her three grandchildren, who have seen 'Christmas on Call' already.
She said: "[They] kept saying, 'Play it back, play it back! We want to see DeeDee!' So that was kind of fun.'"
Donna previously admitted she was aware she'd only been cast in the movies because of her famous sons and their increased profile due to Travis' relationship with Taylor Swift, but she didn't mind as she was just enjoying the opportunity.
She told America's Glamour magazine: "It’s kind of fun to see people that have been in the industry and to try to learn from them, because I’m such a novice. I just started.
"I just have been fortunate because people know who I am.
"I know where this is coming from. I know they’re interested because of who my children are and who they know, and I just take it with a grain of salt. But it was really fun."
'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story' sees Hunter King play a finalist in the team's Fan of the Year contest opposite Tyler Hynes as Derrick, the director of fan engagement, who is tasked with evaluating the finalists.
Kansas City Chiefs President Mark Donovan previously said in a statement: "We are honoured to partner with Hallmark on a project as unique as this.
"As a club, we pride ourselves on exploring new ways to grow our brand, as well as connect with new audiences. This partnership unites two passionate fanbases and gives us an opportunity to show Chiefs Kingdom's energy and tradition on one of the most-watched channels during the holiday season."
It also features appearances from Chiefs' head coach Andy Reid, players Trey Smith, Mecole Hardman Jr., Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and George Karlaftis, as well as red carpet correspondent Taylen Biggs.
The movie sees Donna play the manager of local barbecue restaurant Norma + Nics.
