Marvel boss Kevin Feige wants Miles Morales in the MCU

Kevin Feige "definitely has plans" to bring Miles Morales into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The MCU has heavily featured Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego, and now the Marvel Studios boss has admitted he'd love to have Miles Morales at his disposal.

He told China's Watching Hollywood: “The good news is, Sony has the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse series, which are very popular and excellent, and Beyond the Spider-Verse is coming out next year.

“But yes, we definitely have plans [for a live-action Miles], and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.”

Sony Pictures' animated Spider-Verse franchise will conclude with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2027.

Shameik Moore will once again lend his voice to the character, having been part of 2018's Into The Spider-Verse and 2023 sequel Across the Spider-Verse.

Although he is yet to appear in the MCU, fans noticed a nod to Miles Morales in YEAR's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In one scene, referencing Holland's version meeting predecessors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's respective Peter Parkers, Jamie Foxx's Electro said: "Somewhere there’s bound to be a Black Spider-Man."

Feige said: "Audiences around the world were thrilled because they knew it might be a hint at Spider-Man Miles.

“We’ve been thinking and discussing more Spider-Man adventures, regardless of agreements or contracts.

"My production partner, Amy Pascal, is already working on it, and we’ve had in-depth discussions about what the next two, three, four, and five Spider-Man movies might be about.”

Back in 2023, Pascal confirmed there were already ideas for a live-action Miles Morales movie.

Asked at the time about that and a potential Spider-Woman film, she told Variety: "You'll see all of it.

"It's all happening."

Last month, Holland told how he wants to help set up the "next chapter" of Spider-Man, and he hopes his character can have a significant impact on the next generation in the way Downey Jr.'s Iron Man was a father figure to him.

He told Empire magazine: "For whoever's next, whether that is a Miles Morales or a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter. Whatever that looks like, I don't know.

"But, if I could do what Downey did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset."
